Capcom released the Onimusha: Way of the Sword demo on June 3, 2026, giving players free access to the opening chapter of the game. The demo is available on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Microsoft Store. It covers the first two areas of Kyoto, the full Oni Gauntlet tutorial, and early Genma encounters. What the demo includes
The demo runs roughly 60-90 minutes depending on how thoroughly you explore. You get the opening cutscene, the tutorial that teaches basic combat and Issen parrying, and two full Kyoto districts: the Market Row and the Temple Gate. Both areas have optional side paths, one hidden elite Genma encounter, and a mini-boss fight that tests your parry skills.
